This is a developmental position, and the incumbent is a member of the Federal Communications Commission developmental STEM Pathways Recent Graduate Program. The incumbent serves in a developmental capacity as a Computer Scientist performing progressively responsible assignments in support of agency IT infrastructure, software programs, enterprise systems, cybersecurity operations, and network services. The incumbent performs conventional IT assignments involving analysis, writing, modifying, and maintaining software programs, scripts, configuration, integration, debugging, troubleshooting, and implementation of IT systems and services. Work requires application of established computer science methods and adaptation of guidelines to resolve non-routine technical issues.
