About the role
You will serve as a specialist and technical advisor for maintaining surveillance, reviewing, evaluating, and approving non-nuclear testing aboard nuclear-powered aircraft carriers and other surface combat ships undergoing construction. You will monitor testing in the propulsion plant and all other hull, mechanical and electrical systems, including electrical/power generation, auxiliaries, interior communications, aircraft launch and recovery, elevators, and shore facilities. You will be the Government representatives of a Joint Test Group/Test Task Group to take required local approval actions for a specific ship availability test program. You will provide technical reviews and local validation approval of test program documents, including operating and casualty procedures. You will review, ensure proper annotation, and concur in all test procedures which could affect ship conditions.
