Budget Analyst

As a Budget Analyst, you will perform the following duties: Serve as the Budget Analyst for the National Weather Service (NWS), Office of Business Operations and Accountability (BOA). Lead the formulation and execution of BOA's multi-million dollar budget. Develop and evaluate budget estimates, forecasts, and financial plans to ensure alignment with NWS strategic goals and statutory requirements. Review and approve methodologies used in the preparation of budget spend plans to ensure technical accuracy and compliance. Prepare, present, justify, and defend budget submissions to senior management. Provide authoritative advice and recommendations on resource allocation, and financial strategy. Utilize financial management systems and analytical tools to track, reconcile, and report budgetary data.
