About the role
Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Develops and oversees DoW-wide military education policies and provides guidance on military education requirements to DoW Components. Synchronizes military education policy with personnel, talent management, assignment, professional development selection board, and human resource systems policy oversight Manpower and Reserve Affairs policy owners. Provides oversight of academic and experiential professional development opportunities policy that include fellowships, legislative fellowships, scholarships, training-with-industry, grants for education, rotational assignments, and exchange tours for education. Works with the DoW Cost Assessment and Program Evaluation (CAPE) office to identify data to support analysis of investments in education capabilities and represents OUSW(P&R) education equities in the Program and Budget Review (PBR) process.
