Chief of Staff

Serves as the Chief of Staff, DLA Distribution Headquarters, Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). DLA is a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) agency. Directs operations. Monitors and adjusts staff assignments to ensure efficient workload distribution and maximum use of employee skills and abilities consistent with organizational objectives. Promulgates guidance and decisions from the DLA Distribution Commander/Deputy and conducts follow-ups to assure management implements objectives. As the Chief of Staff, leads DLA Distribution's emergent initiatives and new business that cross directorate and individual Distribution Center boundaries. Carefully determines what individual skill sets are required from each directorate and distribution center, as appropriate, to effectively implement each assigned initiative. Provides general management, policy direction and administrative coordination to a staff of specialists and professionals engaged in determining the effective, efficient and economical di
