Advanced Practice Nurse

Review past medical records and updates Pre-Deployment health Assessment. Identify medical issues which potentially affect deploy ability and/or retention. Maintain supervision over soldiers/civilians during the immunization process, to ensure proper and adequate training and equipment for emergency treatment of adverse reactions. Refer soldiers/civilians who have medical issues to appropriate department or specialty through consults for further diagnosis and treatment. Maintain appropriate records using a computerized record keeping and coding system. Work closely with primary care and other providers in accepting referrals, providing feedback, and sending referrals as needed. Provide feedback and advice to unit commanders and other leaders regarding the well-being of their Soldiers.
