About the role
At the entry level of this position, you will: Interpret existing and emerging federal security standards, translate them into implementable requirements, and deliver actionable advice and guidance to decision-makers and stakeholders for consideration. Conduct surveys, inspections, and risk assessments to evaluate threats, vulnerabilities, and consequences, and develop and implement security countermeasures at federal facilities to reduce risk to an acceptable level. Prepare reports summarizing analytical methods, results, and recommendations for stakeholders. Participate in the development of agency policies related to physical and electronic security systems and emergency preparedness. Design and deliver formal and informal training on physical security procedures, security awareness, and Occupant Emergency Plans, tailored to the specific needs of the facility and program.
