Police Officer (Rapid Response Team)

This position is located in the Uniform Services Bureau (USB). The Rapid Response Team (RRT) is a team of officers that provide daily response capabilities throughout Capitol Grounds. This dedicated Response Team enhances the Bureau's ability to protect and secure Congress, ensuring they can fulfill their Constitutional responsibilities. The RRT maintains a strong visible presence on Capitol Grounds, responding to calls for service, planned and unplanned demonstrations, and conducting foundation checks of all Congressional lots, parks and buildings. Note: Multiple vacancies exist. The number of positions will be determined by the needs of the Department. The selection list will be active for a period of one (I) year from the date of approval of the selection memorandum unless an applicant withdraws in writing his/her application to the Office of Human Resources (OHR).
