Director, National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention

The Director, National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention (NCHHSTP), provides executive leadership and strategic direction for CDC's national and international programs focused on the prevention, control, and elimination of HIV/AIDS, viral hepatitis, sexually transmitted diseases, and tuberculosis. The incumbent oversees the development and implementation of scientific, public health, and operational strategies; establishes long-range goals and priorities; and ensures the effective management of complex programs designed to improve disease surveillance, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and health outcomes. The Director serves as a principal advisor to CDC leadership, guiding policy development, program planning, resource allocation, and organizational performance to advance the Center's mission and public health impact.
