About the role

As a Information Technology Specialist you will: Provide input and participate in planning for new CDC health informatics systems, establishing standards in areas such as terminology, codes, documentation requirements, and data dictionaries. Develop standardized data structures for public and private health information systems to improve quality, cost, and access through the use of information technology. Monitor the execution of software development, testing, and implementation plans, including efforts requiring adaptation of established practices to integrate complex systems. Analyze informatics data and recommend improvements to enhance system usability and resolve technical issues.
