About the role
Incumbent applies experience and advanced knowledge of cartographic processes and procedures including: collecting, evaluating, verifying and selecting information; preparing, developing, constructing, and producing radar, video, aeronautical and other types of charts and visual aids based on accrued information. Prepares statistical graphs and pictorial illustrations for use by operational, support, and administrative personnel. Performs multiple and varying tasks associated with the cartographic process, which requires expertise in the collection, evaluation, selection and verification of information and the knowledge and skills to originate from the data; accurate aeronautical and special purpose charts, maps, graphs, and pictorial illustrations. Develops methods to meet cartographic requirements using computer mapping technology, drawing upon traditional manual cartographic experience and techniques.
