About the role
Major Duties Include: Reviews vehicle and equipment maintenance schedules to determine that necessary repairs are being performed to keep them safe and serviceable, reviews records of repairs and utilization to assure that repairs and usage are within established criteria. Inspects new vehicles and advises as to acceptance condition, assures warranty repairs are accomplished prior to assignment whenever possible, determines specifications of new vehicles request rotation of under or over utilized vehicles and initiates documentation for disposal action for unused or obsolete equipment. Monthly mileage reports, tracking actual mileage usage of the transportation motor pool fleet. Provides programming and budgeting reports required for annual vehicle budget submission. Plans, organizes, manage, research, interpret, and apply regulations, directives, policies, and guidance.
