Advanced Practice Nurse (Nurse Practitioner)

Assess acute and non-acute clinical problems. Direct collaborative care assessment, diagnosis and management of patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Provide counseling to patients and their families. Evaluate care delivery models and strategies, using concepts related to community, environmental/occupational health, and cultural and socioeconomic dimensions of health. Serve as a preceptor to graduate students enrolled in nurse practitioner and physician assistant programs, medical students and to newly assigned nurse practitioners.
