Dispense, prescribe and/ or administer medicine. Screen for drug interactions and reviews pertinent laboratory results, when necessary, as part of the prescription verification process. Interface with physicians or other health care providers in the design of a drug treatment plan and monitors drug therapy for patients. Prepare complex combinations regimens for clinical protocols including new and investigational agents and biologic response modifiers. Provide drug information to physicians, nurses, and patients on investigational drugs being utilized and ensures that up to date information is readily available in the patient care units. Compare and contrast therapeutic regimens and use for new and existing products.
