Deputy Director (DETAIL/TEMP PROMOTION NTE 1 YEAR)

Participates fully with the Director and other officials in formulating and coordinating basic policies, programs, and plans for emergency and disaster programs. Shares fully in developing program and policy recommendations. Evaluates and monitors controls to review execution and accomplishments of assigned programs. Evaluates existing projects and procedures by reviewing reports, conducting field visits, or directing the performance of periodic or special studies. Provides leadership and general direction to appropriate Branch Chiefs and program managers to ensure that the work will be achieved in terms of producer participation, compliance with legislation and Agency and Departmental policy. Shares in the responsibility for directing the development and implementation of automated procedures used in the administration of assigned programs.
