About the role

The primary purpose of this position is to: To serve as Air Reserve Technician (ART) and provide medical standards guidance, policy interpretation and application to Wing Commander, Medical Squadron Commander, unit health care professionals and unit medical support staffs within the Reserve Medical Unit (RMU) and to Squadron commanders throughout the installation. Major program areas covered include, but are not limited to, physical profiling and worldwide service determinability, deployment medicine, training requirements, and the application of medical standards in relation to aviators, Air Traffic Controllers, and other special operational duty personnel. Also serves as supervisor over a limited number of employees, duties which require less than 25% of the supervisor's time. Provides training to reserve personnel in the accomplishment of tasks set forth herein.
