About the role
Perform supervisory duties for the team, including work assignments, performance appraisals, and timesheet approvals, while also managing the team's financial budget. Optimize the use of resources by managing workload distribution, work priorities and effectively communicating associated risks. Foster clear communication and provide regular feedback on staff performance and behavior through one-on-one and staff meetings. Serve as a subject matter expert on environmental planning products and principal environmental legislation (e.g., NEPA) and advise leadership on requirements and risk considerations. Develop staff by providing technical guidance, training opportunities and special assignments to support their Individual Development Plans. Oversee complex, multi-disciplinary environmental projects from start to finish to ensure they on time and on budget.
