About the role
You will serve as a Family Resource Specialist and be responsible for being the point of contact for family support services for all units located within the designated Area of Responsibility (AOR). Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Serves as a non-clinical case manager on issues pertaining to special needs conditions and the SNP to active-duty members and their families. Provides information to CG personnel concerning enrollment, dis-enrollment or update of status Collaborate with a regional Senior Medical Executive (SME) on establishing medical eligibility for enrollment of family members in the SNP Coordinate and/or provide training and outreach on Family Support Programs- This includes offering specialized briefings for new employees, commands, Outreach pre-deployment groups and unit training as needed.
