About the role
You will serve as an DISTRICT INCIDENT MANAGEMENT AND PREPAREDNESS ADVISOR and be responsible for serving as the lead expert on District operations and connectivity under the National-Oil and Hazardous Substances Pollution Contingency Plan (NCP) and the National Response Framework (NRF). You will serve as the link between the District and the regional intergovernmental response community, a deployable response resource coordinator, and a technical advisor to the District Commander. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Serve as the co-chair for Regional Response Teams (RRTs) Direct planning and support of District-level response to emergencies or natural disasters in the AOR that would exceed local planning and response capabilities Determine District's response to National Response Framework (NRF) disasters and emergencies Represent the District Commander at Regional Inter-agency Steering Committees (RISCs)
