About the role
The selectee will serve as a Budget Analyst in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Budget Division. Typical work assignments include: Prepares the annual budget call and other requests for budget information. Provides advice and assistance to managers in the development and presentation of budget requests and supporting documentation. Develop policy guidance, procedural instructions, and formats to assist program managers in planning and estimating funding needs that are incorporated into the total Service budget. As required, drafts and issues interpretations of Departmental and Office of Management and Budget (OMB) budgetary guidance. Reviews and edits budget requests and justifications submitted by program managers for adequacy, consistency with overall budget plans, and conformance with Department of Homeland Security, Treasury, OMB, and Congressional requirements.
