About the role
Develops plans for accomplishment of Office programs and activities; and, in coordination with other senior managers, participates in establishing goals and objectives which entails: determining scope and extent of programs to be undertaken within the mission of the subordinate organizations and proportion of total resources provided to be allocated to individual program activities. Manage personnel issues such as recruitment, performance and/or conduct issues. Provide senior level program and management guidance to division chiefs for a broad range of issues such as implementation of new statutory requirements. Plan, assign, and adjust work for subordinate staff, set short-term priorities, schedule tasks, and establish performance standards. Make sound, high-quality decisions based on technical expertise, thorough analysis, and calculated risk assessment, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.
