ABOUT THE POSITION The Director of the National Center for State, Tribal, Local, and Territorial Public Health Infrastructure and Workforce (PHIC) provides executive leadership and scientific expertise to advance national public health infrastructure, workforce development, and data modernization efforts across federal, state, tribal, local, and territorial public health systems. The incumbent serves as a principal advisor to CDC leadership, guiding the development of strategies, policies, and initiatives that strengthen public health system performance, workforce capacity, organizational resilience, and data-driven decision-making. The position leads complex national initiatives and promotes innovative, evidence-based approaches to improve public health services and infrastructure.
