Physician (Obstetrics/Gynecology)

Examines, diagnoses, treats or prescribes course of treatment for Obstetrics/Gynecology (OB/GYN) patients including those of an unusually complex and difficult nature. Performs surgical procedures and assist in Operating Room (OR) under minimal supervision of the Chief. Administers and prescribes medications and treatment. Serves as a consultant in OB/GYN to other medical officers, primarily on the more complicated OB/GYN cases. Responds to OB/GYN calls in house and provide back up call for other obstetricians. Instructs and supervises other ancillary staff in the care and treatment of patients. Reviews and studies medical history and progress of patients.
