About the role

Serves as subject-matter expert and chief point of contact to external entities on the development, implementation, and oversight of the Medicare Drug Price Negotiation Program. Leads national studies, reviews, evaluations, and/or projects that directly impact upon the drug benefit or payment across the country. Develops policies related to the negotiation of prices for selected drugs under Medicare Part B and Part D to include identifying and vetting policy options and preparing policy memoranda, rulemaking and technical guidance. Provides professional pharmacy consultation, negotiation, and advice on a wide range of CM program issues or policies to other CMS and Government components, Congressional staff, professional organizations, and other health policy groups. Develops and coordinates the work of program task forces and work groups on intra-consortium and crossconsortium issues and problems, and present recommendations to senior staff.
