About the role
You will serve as an Employee Assistance Program Specialist and be responsible for managing the Coast Guard (USCG) Employee Assistance Program (EAP), according to the guidance provided in the Coast Guard's EAP policies and other applicable directives as may be issued by competent authorities. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Providing direct diagnostic assessment, evaluation, preventative and treatment services evidenced based principles, theories and techniques for the purpose of understanding, preventing and relieving psychological based distress Participating, coordinating, and conducting evidenced based training, measurements, reports, awareness, prevention, and intervention as required by Supervisor for various EAP programs Conducting intensive follow-up services to assist employees in maintaining their health and/or resolution of problems, working with individuals, couples, families, groups, and co
