About the role
As a part of OAR, your research contributes to the clarification of issues and contributes an analytical and transparent basis for policy choices. OAR staff may collaborate on examinations and in enforcement matters as subject-matter experts. Staff in OAR also conduct research and analysis to identify emerging issues, trends, and risks that may affect the fair, orderly, and efficient operation of markets. Work in support of this area of focus ranges from the development of market monitoring tools to the conduct of original market structure research. OAR staff typically has frequent discussions with a wide variety of market participants and external experts as part of gathering details on given topics and initiatives.
