About the role
As a Supervisory Electronics Engineer, you will: Lead and Supervise a Technical Team: You will lead a team of 14-16 federal employees (GS-12 to GS-14) responsible for the Control Center Communications Operations. This includes planning work, setting priorities, assigning tasks, and evaluating performance. Manage Telecommunications Infrastructure: You will oversee the operation and maintenance of BPA's operational telecommunications system, including the infrastructure at the Control Centers. Execute Strategic Programs: You will be responsible for developing and carrying out the Telecommunication Systems Infrastructure (TSI) Program, ensuring a highly available and secure framework for all communication and transport systems. Provide Expert Technical Support: You will offer expert-level (Tier 3) support for the operational performance of BPA's telecommunications systems in the Control Centers, analyzing data to quickly resolve outages and maintain network integrity.
