About the role
What will I do in this position if hired? In this position, you will serve as a Supervisory Management Specialist. Typical assignments include: Providing technical and administrative supervision to a staff at the headquarters level that deals with the notification, communication, dissemination of information, and the mobilization / direction of emergency response resource capabilities regarding Federal response to all types of intentional and/or unintentional crises, disasters, other humanitarian emergencies, hazards, or natural and man-made/technological (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, high-yield explosives). Providing direction and performs substantive work to build emergency management and support capabilities, as well as to maintain and ensure the readiness of such capabilities based on an analysis of risk and need.
