About the role

The incumbent will be responsible for performing the following duties and responsibilities: Serves as legal adviser to HHS OIG management on a wide range of Federal employment matters. Conducts legal research and analysis and produces high-quality written work product related to the interpretation of Federal employment statutes. Represents the agency in administrative and civil litigation involving the Federal employment laws including matters pending before the EEOC, MSPB, and other administrative venues. Works closely with the Department of Justice or the U.S. Attorney's Office on matters pending before the Federal courts. Serves as legal adviser in support of the HHS OIG Ethics Program as needed to prevent financial conflicts of interest and maintain the integrity of the performance of OIG enforcement and oversight work.
