About the role
The purpose of this position is to ensure the secure, productive and effective use of computer resources through planning, developing, maintaining and enhancing information systems security programs. Provides training and technical support in basic and advanced uses of personal computers (PCs), telecommunications and Web SENTRY. Emphasis is to be placed on Windows, GroupWise, Microsoft Office, X-base compatible database programs and Population Monitoring transactions in Web SENTRY. Serve as the Information Security Officer (ISO) whose responsibilities include: (a) the office security program for all Local Area Networks (LANs), Web SENTRY, personal computers and other computer-based systems; and (b) the requirements of Program Statements regarding information security.
