Supervisory Petroleum Engineer

This position is located within the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement, Gulf of America Region, Office of the Regional Director, District Field Operations, New Orleans District, in Jefferson, LA. At the full performance level (GS-15) the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following: 1. Provides leadership for district office activities in technical and administrative functions with direct supervisor over the following program activities: all drilling, production, completion, workover, and well abandonment operations. 2. Supervises and directs a staff of professional supervisors, engineers, inspectors, technicians, and clerical personnel in grades GS-14 and below assigned to District Offices and Field Operations Support Sections. 3.
