About the role

As an IT Cybersecurity Specialist, you will: Serve as a special assistant, advisor, and expert policy consultant to the CISO and Authorizing Official (the BPA Chief Information Officer). Lead multiple teams of Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) personnel with significant cybersecurity responsibilities and is the primary contact for leading teams across BPA in Transmission Technology, Transmission Engineering, Mission Critical IT and all of the IT organizations. Provide purpose, direction, and motivation, as well as cybersecurity technical leadership for these teams in performing their work and mitigating programmatic cybersecurity weaknesses. Shares the role of Authorizing Official Designated Representative (AODR) with the CISO. As AODR acts on behalf of the authorizing official (Chief Information Officer) to coordinate and conduct the day-to-day activities associated with managing risk to systems and organizations.
