SUPERVISORY ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST

You will assign work based on priorities and considering the difficulty of assignments and the capabilities of employees. You will evaluate work performance, provide advice, counsel, and instruction on both work-related and administrative matters. You will interview candidates for positions within the unit and recommend appointments, promotions, or reassignments. You will resolve complaints from employees, referring group grievances and more serious unresolved complaints to a higher-level supervisor or manager. You will identify developmental and training needs of employees, providing or arranging for the necessary development and training to ensure a high level of competency and to foster career growth. You will find ways to improve the quality of the work directed and develop and maintain performance standards for the branch.
