SUPERVISORY ACCOUNTANT

Serves as an accounting expert with professional working knowledge of generally accepted accounting policies, principles, practices, and procedures within Departmental Reporting. Supervises the work of employees involved in the receipt, control, balancing, and processing of financial data, statements, and reports received from internal customers. Develops major revisions to automated systems ensuring compliance with multiple policy and regulatory requirements and prepares detailed operating instructions for system modifications. Analyzes operating procedures to identify areas of potential policy non-compliance, develops corrective measures, and applies modifications of existing operations to comply with regulations. Ensures the consistent and accurate interpretation and application of Departmental Reporting policies and procedures.
