About the role
This position starts at a salary of $125,431.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $163,062.00 (GS-13, Step 10). In this position you will serve as the subject matter expert within the technical scope of nuclear resonance (NMR) spectroscopy for the New York Lab of LSSD, tackling difficult samples and complex issues. While in role you will be: Supporting all major aspects of the field laboratory, such as both qualitative and quantitative forensic and trade commodity analysis. Managing the NMR systems and providing staff with day-to-day assistance with the operation of the spectrometers and with the analysis and interpretation of NMR spectra within the New York Laboratory. Assisting other LSS labs with data analysis and NMR spectral interpretation as needed. Serving as an expert source of consultation for LSSD and other experts in significant NMR matters.
