Volunteer Services Specialist

This position will work with key stakeholders from across the institution to develop opportunities that will attract and engage diverse community members in a spirit of equity and inclusion and that will reinforce the institution's commitment to fostering social cohesion among the Library's diverse audiences and supporters. The Volunteer Services Specialist is located within the Center for Learning, Literacy and Engagement's (CLLE) Visitor Engagement Office (VEO) in the Library of Congress. Under the supervision of the VEO Chief, the Specialist is responsible for assisting with the overall strategic direction of the development and management of the Library-wide volunteer program. The incumbent is responsible for creative and targeted recruitment, as well as innovative approaches to management, evaluation and tracking of the institution's volunteer program and its effectiveness.
