SUPV IT SPECIALIST (CUSTSPT)

Planning and supervising the work of a work unit for which the programs and objectives are clearly defined and the organizational structure is fully established. Plans workflow and makes work assignments, adjusting workloads and modifying procedures to alleviate backlogs or delays. Reviews completed work for technical adequacy and for compliance with instructions. Studies appropriate journals, participates in computer users technical seminars, maintains contacts with vendor personnel, and takes other actions as appropriate to maintain up-to-date knowledge in the field. Serves as a technical information source both within and outside the command.
