SUPERVISORY MILITARY PAY SPECIALIST(RETIRED AND ANNUITY PAY)

Plans and organizes unit workload by setting priorities, scheduling tasks, and assigning duties to optimize employee skills. Coordinates with other units to manage changing workflows and ensure timely processing of retired and annuitant pay actions. Oversees Military Pay Technicians by providing guidance on complex pay account issues. Interprets regulations, defines work standards, and reviews completed transactions to ensure accuracy, validity, and compliance with policy directives. Analyzes operations and customer feedback to drive continuous process improvements. Identifies problem areas, evaluates alternative solutions, and implements changes while keeping leadership informed of precedent-setting issues. Executes internal tasks, including certifying position descriptions, conducting performance appraisals, and interviewing candidates.
