Heavy Mobile Equipment Repairer

Performs organizational maintenance and repair work on heavy duty equipment, hydraulic lifts, materials handling equipment, cargo transporter and truck cranes. Inspects and troubleshoots equipment, servicing and making repairs including moving worn or defective parts and replacing with new or rebuilt assemblies such as voltage regulators, starters brake assemblies, water pumps, alternators etc. Performs preventative maintenance and unscheduled maintenance repair work to automotive vehicles, trucks and trailers which are powered by gasoline and diesel engines, battery-electric motors or gas-electric power units. Removes and disassembles batteries to individual cells, check condition of cells and other hardware to determine replacement or cleaning required to return to serviceable conditions; cleans or replaces as appropriate. Operates light trucks to transport equipment and materials to and from job sites; operate forklifts to lift and transport heavy objects.
