Librarian

As a Librarian at the GS-1410-12 some of your typical work assignments may include: Directs the overall operations and activities of a professional military library, including establishing policies and updating information guides. Determines library goals and objectives to support school-wide strategic plans and organizational lines of effort. Provides proactive reference services and media literacy training to students, faculty, and staff. Maintains professional partnerships with the Library of Congress, DoD MWR Libraries, and other professional associations. Exercises internal management controls and conducts periodic inventories to ensure accountability for physical and digital holdings. Works with information technology experts to translate library requirements into modern automated systems or cloud-based solutions.
