About the role
Advise the Command Engineer of all major environmental and energy issues. Manage Energy Program in coordination with Military Ocean Terminals (MOT) Energy Managers, Technicians, and Headquarters supporting Engineers. Coordinate on short and long-range plans and develop programmatic strategies in environmental, energy and climate planning. Consult necessary historical, regulatory, and technical references as needed to evaluate proposed actions. Advise Department of Public Works (DPW) staff during field visits of potential environmental, and energy related concerns and considerations. Manage the Environmental Program, to include compliance and adherence to NEPA on behalf of ARTRANs in coordination with the Command Engineer, Army Environmental Command, Regulatory Agencies, and United States Army Corps of Engineers.
