About the role
The responsibilities described are for the full performance level. At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope performed with less independence, and limited complexity. The incumbent will be assigned to one of the following branches within the Human Resources Operations Center: Recruitment and Placement, Benefits and Retirement, Processing/Records/Time and Attendance, and/or Classification. Responsible for the pre-employment process to include extending tentative job offers, initiating and tracking drug testing and medical reviews, establishing start dates, and responding accordingly to inquiries while providing continual HR support. Researches and applies laws, regulations, policies, and precedents of Federal employee retirement, group life insurance, health benefits, and Thrift Savings Plan programs to provide advice and guidance to management, employees, and beneficiaries.
