About the role
You will perform a variety of skilled-craft methods, techniques, and processes to restore and maintain portions of aircraft exhibits and their components. You will take steps to preserve exhibits and restore to original design features. You will follow prescribed conservation measures with respect to historic materials and perform actual preservation and restoration. You will repair and/or replace component which are deteriorate or missing. You may be required to perform other duties as assigned by the Director, Deputy Director, or Department Head. There is a requirement of Oxyacetylene, and electric TIG/MIG WELDING associated with this PD (TPAEP) that is imperative for the NNAM to maintain its restorative and repair capability of aircraft.
