Human Resource Specialist – Placement (Human Resource Specialist, Consolidated Staffing Unit)

Responsible for implementing, operating, maintaining and monitoring the Bureau's automated online application staffing systems for BOP-Careers/BOPHIRES. Utilizes the Bureau's automated online application staffing systems for BOPCareers/BOP-HIRES to perform nationwide Merit Promotion and Delegated Examining (case examining and/or standing registers) staffing functions, to include processing announcements, rating applications, preparing certificates and finalizing boards for closure or audit. Independently corresponds with Human Resources Services Departments and addresses inquiries concerning merit promotion and/or case examining functions performed by the Consolidating Staffing Unit (CSU). Responsible for ensuring applications are rated appropriately using the Operating Manual for Qualifications Standards for General Schedule (GS) and Federal Wage System (FWS).
