About the role

The Tax Exempt and Government Entities Division Counsel (TEGEDC) provides legal services on program matters, including tax issues relating to employee benefit programs (including qualified retirement plans, deferred compensation arrangements, and health and welfare programs), executive compensation, exempt organizations, federal, state, local and Indian tribal governments, tax exempt bonds, and employment tax. The TEGE Division Counsel also directs the counsel-wide litigation programs with respect to these issues. TEGE Division Counsel employs attorneys nationwide with over 60 attorneys located in Washington DC, Chicago, Denver, Farmers Branch (Dallas), Jacksonville, Westbury (Long Island), Baltimore, Thousand Oaks, Seattle, Los Angeles, Sacramento, Salt Lake City, Hartford, New York City (Manhattan), Greensboro, and Houston.
