About the role
Leads ad hoc teams responsible for establishing technical requirements for creating and evaluating course tests for the technical operations workforce. Applies experience and expert technical knowledge of aviation equipment, airport, and air traffic control facilities to review and assess the training history of members of the operational workforce, including bargaining unit members, to determine paths to certification and training equivalence. Reviews examination failures to determine reasons for the failure and can be asked to provide input on decisions to recommend whether the individual should receive remedial training or be removed. Evaluates technical operations training initiatives and develops instructional methods, techniques, curricula, delivery, and simulation strategies. Uses field operational experience to install and/or maintain technical equipment or as an On-the-Job Training Instructor (OJTI) in an FAA facility or airport, develops OJT requirements and performance evalu
