CONTRACTING OFFICER REPRESENTATIVE (COR) SPECIALIST

Provides consultative support and completes all COR activities for assigned DFAS support contracts. Develops and maintains a process for notifying the contractor officer of vendor issues relayed from the customer regarding unsatisfactory service or products. Monitors the coordination of work between the customer and the contractor and takes necessary steps to resolve any problems. Provides contract personnel with interpretation and explanation of specifications, requirements, and terms and conditions as they relate to the contract in coordination with the contracting officer. Performs quality assurance surveillance and physical inspections. Ensures compliance with contracts as written in the PWS/SOW/Acquisition Strategy. Assists with the planning and development of a DFAS Acquisitions Knowledge repository for acquisition based guides, templates, and instructions on preparing required contracting documents.
