About the role

As a Supervisory Firefighter, you will perform the following duties: Responsible and fully shares in the overall technical and administrative management of the Fire Department at their assigned installation, on all shifts, and is also responsible for the Fire Prevention and Training Programs. Supervises Assistant Chiefs and subordinate staff (handling leave, awards, and discipline); oversees the development, scheduling, and evaluation of all departmental training and public fire prevention educational programs. Reviews and approves emergency response and contingency plans for high-risk incidents (WMD, CBRNE, Force Protection, and Hazardous Materials); coordinates simulated emergency response exercises with local, state, and Federal agencies. Responds to and manages emergency incident scenes; ensures the Incident Management System and the department's personnel accountability systems are actively deployed and operational during calls.
