About the role
Assists in the development of interpretive and environmental education programs, media and exhibits for use on the unit and the Visitor Center. Responsible for visitor information and public services activities and supervises administrative staff on unit, including purchasing and district fleet management. Perform administrative and human resources management functions for the unit such as providing advice, counsel or instruction on both administrative and work matters. The incumbent provides a variety of office and facilitation services essential to support the overall research effort, which may include grants and agreements, procurement, personal property, travel, etc Provides leadership for planning and implementation of Interpretive Services and Conservation education programs for the unit interpretive program. Conveys detailed program information in written and non-written form, using a variety of formats. Performs supervisory duties less than 20% of the time.
