About the role
The Aviation Safety Inspector, Air Carrier - Instructor must hold an Airline Transport Pilot certificate or hold a Commercial Pilot certificate with multi-engine land and instrument ratings. Develops/applies the latest methods and techniques of instruction obtained through attendance at formal instructor training courses and seminars. Applies knowledge of inspection and surveillance programs in assisting new and/or higher-level instructors in course management, development of new courses, revision of existing courses, outlines, lesson plans, and the application of Federal Aviation Regulation changes to existing courseware. Maintains liaison with aviation safety inspectors who conduct the Air Carrier Airmen Certification Program and serves in an advisory and consulting capacity on job functions in that specialty.
